The attorney for the victim's family, Hendri Irawan in Tembilahan, Friday stated that the couple Khaidir and Nova Hidayanti, together with the Gajah Mada Health Center, declared peace by signing a peace letter on Thursday (1/9) witnessed by representatives of both parties and representatives of the police.
"The family has officially taken the peaceful route considering that the family does not want to extend this case," Hendri Irawan told reporters, September 2, quoted from Antara.
Hendri explained that the peace decision by the victim and the Puskesmas was taken after going through mediation and a big family agreement so that the case was terminated.
The victim admitted that he was sincere about the incident that happened to his late son. Especially now that the mother is recovering.
He also understands that this incident was not intentionally carried out by the medical team. Moreover, the condition of the baby has suffered from an abnormality in the position in the uterus (sungsang) and has suffered from hydrocephalus since it was in the womb.
"The baby has a medical disorder (sungsang). The midwife in charge of making the choice to save the mother's life," explained Hendri.
As a form of apology and responsibility to the victim's family, the Puskesmas will provide regular services and control to the victim's mother.
"As a form of responsibility, his party will provide care services and routine checks to Nova Hidayati during her time of affairs," he explained.
