JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) suspects that former Tanah Bumbu Regent Mardani H. Maming has given mining business permits to his company under his control.

"The investigative team has finished examining the suspect MM (Mardani Maming)," Ali said in a written statement, Wednesday, August 31.

From the examination, it was suspected that Mardani had given IUP to the mining company he controlled. However, Ali did not elaborate further on the name of his company.

"Investigated, among other things, related to the alleged issue of the provision of IUP (mining business permits) to several mining companies in Tanah Bumbu whose company control remains with the suspect MM," he said.

As previously reported, the KPK has named Mardani H. Maming as a suspect in alleged bribery and gratification of mining business permits in Tanah Bumbu Regency. He was named a suspect in the recipient.

Meanwhile, as the giver, Hendry Soetio, who is the controller of PT Prolindo Cipta Nusantara (PCN), was declared dead.

Even though he died, the KPK ensured that investigators had received evidence related to Mardani's acceptance. Mardini is suspected of receiving money from Hendry from 2014 to 2020 reaching Rp. 104.3 billion which was received through trusted people and his company.
