JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) summoned three witnesses related to the alleged bribery of the Tanah Bumbu Regency mining business license (IUP). The three witnesses were the Head of the Legal Section (Kabag) of the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources in 2011 Fadli Ibrahim. Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri said Fadli was being investigated to complete the case file for former Tanah Bumbu Regent Mardani H. Maming. "The examination of the TPK witness gave a mining business permit in Tanah Bumbu Regency for the suspect MM," Ali told reporters on Monday, August 29. Apart from Fadli, there were two other witnesses who were examined. They are the Director of PT Permata Abadi Raya (PAR) in 2013-2020 and housewives Eka Risnawati. "The investigation was carried out at the KPK's Red and White Building," said Ali. Regarding the examination material, Ali has not provided details. However, each witness summoned is confirmed to be aware of the alleged bribery received by Mardani. Previously, the KPK had named Mardani as a suspect in alleged bribery and gratification of mining business permits in Tanah Bumbu Regency. He was named a suspect in the recipient. Meanwhile, as the giver, Hendry Soetio, who is the controller of PT Prolindo Cipta Nusantara (PCN), was declared dead. Even though he died, the KPK ensured that investigators had received evidence related to Mardani's acceptance. Mardini is suspected of receiving money from Hendry from 2014 to 2020 reaching Rp. 104.3 billion which was received through trusted people and his company.
