Present At The West Java Musra, Jokowi: Even Though The Presidential And Vice-presidential Candidates Were Promoted By The Party, Their Parents Remained The People

BANDUNG - President Joko Widodo said that the West Java People's Consultative Assembly (Musra) is a space for people to do democracy. According to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), the idea of holding a Musra is good because the people can express their wishes, both regarding Indonesia in the future and the criteria for the desired leader.

"Indeed, we also have to know that according to the law, the party or coalition party that carries presidential and vice presidential candidates, but when voting is the people," he said in a speech at the West Java Musra I at the West Java SPORT Arcamanik, Bandung City, quoted by Antara, Sunday, August 28. President Jokowi said that Musra is a democratic instrument that is expected to lead leaders who are in accordance with the wishes of the community, especially for political events in 2024.

"We hope that Musra can bring up a leader who is loved by the people, who wants to be close to the people, who wants to come down, not just sit well in the palace, do you agree?" Jokowi said.

Musra was held by national volunteers Joko Widodo. Apart from Bandung, West Java, Musra's plan will also be held in all provinces until 2023. Later, every citizen who attends the Musra is welcome to express their aspirations in front of the forum related to Indonesia's hopes in the future and convey the desired leadership criteria.

If later it has come to a conclusion, Jokowi asks the organizers of Musra to convey the results. "Later, if in Musra we have found someone, please help me be whispered, because this is a forum for the people, people can speak up, right," said President Jokowi.
