Police Find Out Why The North Sumatra Police Sub-Directorate Of Corruption Sub-Directorate Can Burn

JAKARTA - The second floor of the North Sumatra Police Ditreskrimsus building that caught fire is still being investigated for the exact cause.

"What caught fire was the staff room of the Tipikor Sub-Directorate. The room was 2x3 meters in size," said Head of Public Relations of the North Sumatra Police, Kombes Pol Hadi Wahyudi, in Medan, Friday, August 26.

It was confirmed that there were no files on fire, and there were no casualties in the fire.

Hadi said the fire could be controlled and extinguished by picket officers with light fire extinguishers (fire poisons). The picket officer happened to be working at night.

In addition, Medan Fire Prevention Service (P2K) officers also extinguished the fire.

"The cause of the fire is still being investigated. Based on CCTV footage, the fire was thought to have been caused by an electrical short circuit from the AC in the room," he said, quoted from Antara.

Kombes Hadi added that the work activities of personnel from the North Sumatra Police Ditreskrimsus continued as usual and there were no disturbances.

Previously, the North Sumatra Police Special Criminal Investigation Directorate (Ditreskrimsus) building on Sisingamangaraja Street Km 10.5, Timbang Deli Village, Medan Amplas District, Medan City caught fire.

The object that caught fire was a room on the 2nd floor of a public facility owned by the North Sumatra Police.

The fire can be extinguished by the Medan City P2K Service at 22.30 WIB.
