Impact Of Rizieq's Crowd Of Events In Bogor, 5 Positive People Of COVID-19

JAKARTA - The Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil, said that the transmission of COVID-19 occurred when there was a crowd at the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of an Islamic boarding school that was attended by Rizeq Shihab in Megamendung, Bogor. There are 5 people who have been diagnosed with COVID-19.

"So in conclusion, the crowd is dangerous and the evidence is that 5 out of the hundreds that we checked through the antigen swab showed that he was positive for COVID-19," Ridwan Kamil told reporters, Friday, November 20.

The man who is familiarly called Kang Emil said the transmission was discovered after the Bogor Regency Government (Pemkab) investigated the violations behind the event. Based on the results of antigen swab tests on hundreds of people, some of whom tested positive.

"One of them we have examined the 400 residents who gathered there with the antigen swab test, of the 400, 5 were positive," he said.

Previously, Ridwan Kamil asked the Bogor Regency Government to sanction the committee for the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the pesantren which Rizeq Shihab participated in for causing a crowd.

"I ask Bogor Regency to also impose strict sanctions on the committee, because it has many impacts," he said.

The sanctions given, said Kang Emil, were in the form of a maximum fine. Based on the regulation of the Bogor Regent, fines range from IDR 50,000 to IDR 50 million.

"I think it is possible that the maximum amount of fines is possible," he said.

The crowd happened when Rizieq attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the pesantren. His arrival attracted public attention, but many did not apply health protocols by not wearing masks.
