Bareskrim Destroys 8.7 Kg Of Methamphetamine And 295 Kg Of Marijuana From 13 Cases

JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police destroyed 8,742.2 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 295,363 grams of marijuana, and 29,083 ecstasy pills. The three types of drugs are the result of the disclosure of 13 cases from May to August 2022.

"The destruction of 8,742.2 grams of methamphetamine, 295,363 grams of marijuana, and 29,083 ecstasy pills," said Deputy Director of Drug Crimes Kombes Jayadi in his statement, Thursday, August 25.

Of the dozens of drug cases that were revealed, the police named 28 suspects. Two of them are women.

Kombes Jayadi explained that there were three suspects with 13,090 marijuana as evidence. The suspects with the initials MK, EY, and DM were arrested in Megamendung, Bogor.

Then, the second case with suspect AS alias A who was arrested on the UI Depok Access Road with evidence of 2,399 ecstasy pills.

"The third case with evidence of 15,416 grams of marijuana with suspects IB alias K, S, AH (convicts) and F (convicts). Then, suspects K and S were arrested in North Jakarta and Bekasi," he said.

There is also a disclosure of cases of marijuana circulation as much as 117,016 grams at Bakauheni Port, Lampung. The suspects have the initials EF, DS, and S.

"Then, 2,880 methamphetamine was blocked from being circulated by suspects SK, HY, and M in Seulaga Hamlet, Aceh," Jayadi said.

There was also disclosure of 580 grams of methamphetamine found at the Tangerang Customs Office, Banten. The drug owner has the initials PS, who is currently still a DPO.

Furthermore, the disclosure of cases of 13,182 ecstasy pills and 1,673 grams of methamphetamine belonging to the DPO with the initials SH were found at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

Jayadi said that the 94,758 grams of marijuana confiscated from suspects CT alias U, MSR alias R, IH, KF alias K, and JA alias J were also destroyed. The suspect was arrested at Bakauheni Port, Lampung, Pinang Ranti, East Jakarta, as well as Aceh Cargo Parking.

The next case involved confiscation of 13,502 ecstasy pills from suspects IS alias I, Sugito and BK, and CHUK alias IL. The suspects were arrested in Cirebon and North Jakarta.

Then confiscated evidence of 55,083.9 grams of marijuana from suspects AIA and SSP. Both were arrested in Banda Aceh.

"Finally, we got 2,500 grams of methamphetamine at the Pasar Baru Post Office, Central Jakarta," Jayadi said.
