RTK Survey In Medan Pilkada: Electability Of Akhyar Nasution-Salman 53.1 Percent, Bobby Nasution-Aulia 37.3 Percent

JAKARTA - The results of the Consultant Tricycle Survey (RTK) show the superiority of the candidate pair number 1 in the Medan Pilkada, Akhyar Nasution-Salman Alfarisi from candidate pair number 2 Bobby Nasution-Aulia Rachman.

The RTK survey was held on 8-11 November, involving 810 respondents proportionally spread across all sub-districts in Medan City. The margin of error is around 3.53 percent with a confidence level of 95 percent.

RTK Research Director Muh. Taufiq Arif in his written statement explained that this quick survey asked respondents to simulate specimen ballot voting.

This aims to see the preferences of voters for the two pairs of candidates for the mayor and vice mayor of Medan.

"The Akhyar Nasution-Salman Alfarisi pair won an electoral score of 53.1 percent, while the pair Muhammad Bobby Afif Nasution and Aulia Rachman won an electoral score of 37.3 percent. The rest refused to simulate 9.6 percent, "said Taufiq, Friday, November 20.

In addition to simulating ballot papers, the survey was also asked directly to respondents, "If the election was held today who would be elected in the Medan Pilkada?"

The results are not so different from the simulation results for pair number one, Akhyar-Salman achieved an electoral value that is consistent with the simulation results of 53.1 percent. Meanwhile, for the pair number two, Bobby-Aulia won an electoral score of 37.9 percent, a gap of 15.2 percent with the pair number one. The rest answered secretly 7.3 percent and did not know / did not answer 1.7 percent, "said Taufiq.

The RTK survey also measured the strong voters of the two candidate pairs in the Medan Pilkada. From the electoral score, candidate pair number one, Akhyar-Salman, 53.1 percent, 51.5 percent of whom said they were confident in their choice. The remaining 1.6 percent said they were unsure or unsure of their choice.

Meanwhile, the pair number two, Bobby-Aulia from the electoral value of 37.9 percent, as many as 35.8 percent said they were sure of their choice. The remaining 2.1 percent were still unsure of their choice.
