BANDAR LAMPUNG - A team of investigators from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confiscated cash in plastic bags and backpacks after searching the luxurious house of the inactive Chancellor of the University of Lampung (Unila) Karomani in Bandarlampung.

In addition to cash, said Sumarno, the KPK investigation team also confiscated a number of items, such as receipts, certificates, a laptop unit, and a flash disc belonging to suspect Karomani.

"For the nominal amount of money, I don't know how much was confiscated; but it was in the fifty thousand and one hundred thousand bills that were in Pak Karomani's office at the house," he explained.

According to Sumarno, Karomani recently occupied the luxury house in the village of Rajabasa Jaya. "The person concerned just last month held a thanksgiving event for his house, so it hasn't been that long," he added.

The Head of RT 07 Rajabasa Jaya Sub-district, Hasurudin, who witnessed the search at Karomani's luxury house, said the same thing.

"Yes, I saw that almost all the rooms, both the first and second floors, were checked," said Hasurudin.

The KPK Investigative Team conducted a search of Karomani's luxury home, Wednesday, from 09.30 WIB to 17.30 WIB. After the search, the team of investigators brought a number of confiscated items into several suitcases.
