DENPASAR - The forensic team of Prof Ngoerah Hospital (formerly Sanglah Hospital) has submitted the autopsy results of the body of a woman named I Gusti Mirah Agung Lestari (42) which was previously found on the side of the road, Jalan Denpasar-Gilimanuk to the Bali Police Forensic Laboratory.

The doctor said that the body of the woman from Buduk Village, Mengwi, Badung was autopsied since 09.00 WITA this morning, after an external examination had previously been carried out.
"We received the body last night, Tuesday (23/8) at 20.28 WITA, which was then carried out for external examination and followed by an autopsy. The condition of the body itself was starting to decompose, we can't be sure because the Labfor examination determined it was a wound before death or after death," said Dr. Kunthi.
The results of his team's autopsy today have been submitted to the Bali Police Labfor to investigate the cause of death, and then analyzed between the laboratory results and the autopsy findings.
"Laboratory examinations take an average of three to four weeks at the Regional Police. The results take a long time because a laboratory is needed, later the Labfor will be responsible for the examination. Dr. Kunthi said, generally Indonesians who live in tropical climates if they die, their bodies will experience decay an average of 24 hours after death, naturally their bodies will decompose over time, the same as Gusti Mirah's body.
"Yes, because it has undergone decomposition (Gusti Mirah's body) means that it has been more than 24 hours, but the time of death has not been confirmed, later after the autopsy results will be given by investigators," he said.
After the autopsy was performed, the doctor at Prof Ngoerah Hospital said Gusti Mirah's body was still in the hospital, pending the family's decision to continue the religious procession.
"I told the investigators that if I had taken all the samples, if the investigators had done so, then they could be handed over to the family, so you don't have to wait for the autopsy results to be completed. We talked about it earlier, but the family is still discussing (discussion)," said the Head of the Forensic Installation.
