SULTENG - Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Parigi Moutong Regency, Central Sulawesi (Sulteng), said the land for permanent residential development (huntap) for flood victims in Torue Village is ready.

Head of BPBD Parigi Moutong Idran said that currently the appreciative team is conducting a price assessment related to the huntap area.

"The land has been prepared in Dusun 5 of Torue Village for 40 shelters. Of course the land provided does not enter the red zone prone to flooding," he said, quoted from Antara, Sunday, August 21. He explained that the appraisal team was conducting an assessment with the price offered by the government in the range of Rp. 7,500 per meter, while the bid price from land owners was Rp. 50,000 per meter.

Therefore, he said, the government continues to take strategic steps to get an agreement regarding price determination. said Idran.

He revealed that previously the affected residents asked for the construction of shelters in the coastal area, with the excuse that it would be easier for them to monitor boats in case of high tide. "We hope that residents understand this situation. The construction of shelters must be in a safe place, or not in a disaster-prone zone," said Idran. According to local BPBD data, 10 houses of Torue Village residents were swept away by floods, 32 houses were heavily damaged and 21 houses were slightly damaged. .
