BANDUNG - Police have discovered new facts from the murder case of a retired TNI soldier in Lembang, West Bandung Regency, West Java. Apparently, the suspect and the witness lied about the 'spit on' incident until the initial fight that caused the victim Muhammad Mubin to be stabbed to death.

The case of the murder of this retired TNI soldier is now being handled by the Directorate of Criminal Investigation of the West Java Police. The police have examined 12 witnesses and checked CCTV footage. The killing of a retired TNI soldier in Lembang, West Bandung, occurred after an argument over parking a car.

The Head of Public Relations of the West Java Police, Kombes Ibrahim Tompo, said that from the in-depth examination several new facts were obtained. Initial information given by the suspects as well as witnesses contained lies regarding the murder of a retired TNI soldier.

"Among them, it seems like there was a statement that before the incident the victim spat on the suspect, it turned out that it was not true," said Ibrahim Tompo in a written statement, Sunday, August 21.

"There are also those who said that before the stabbing there was an attack on the suspect and a fight took place, it turns out that after the investigation was carried out it was also not true," continued Kombes Ibrahim Tompo.

From deepening this fact, it was concluded that the article that ensnared the perpetrator with the initials HH became Article 351 paragraph 3 in conjunction with Article 338 and Article 340 of the Criminal Code.

"We also urge the public not to speculate on information that is not factual, with all kinds of information that is not true and also does not believe in hoaxes," he said.

Kombes Ibrahim emphasized that the investigation into the murder of a retired TNI soldier in Lembang, West Bandung, was carried out professionally in accordance with the rule of law.

"We all hope that this case can run and can be completed and the perpetrators can be punished," he said.
