KPK Receives Case Documents Of Joko Tjandra From The Police And The Attorney General's Office

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has received documents related to the case that ensnared Joko Tjandra from the Attorney General's Office and the police. The anti-graft agency has made requests for this file since some time ago, since they have supervised a case that has also ensnared a number of law enforcement officials.

"As part of the implementation of its supervisory duties, currently the KPK has received the requested documents from both the AGO and the police," said Acting KPK spokesman for prosecution Ali Fikri, Thursday, November 19.

After receiving the Joko Tjandra case file, Ali said that his party would carry out research and review.

"The KPK will carry out research and review of the said documents," he said.

Then, after the review and document research has been carried out, the KPK will inform further developments regarding the Joko Tjandra case.

As previously reported, KPK Deputy Chairperson Nawawi Pomolango said that his agency had twice asked for a copy of the files from the Police Criminal Investigation Unit and the Attorney General's Office regarding the case of Joko Soegiarto Tjandra. It's just that the case file has not been given.

"It is true, the supervision team has twice asked to send copies of files, documents from both the Criminal Investigation and the Attorney General's Office, but we have yet to obtain it," said Nawawi in his statement in Jakarta, reported by Antara, Thursday, November 12.

Copies of the files and documents, he said, are needed to be combined with other documents obtained from the public, one of which is the Indonesian Anti-Corruption Society (MAKI) to further investigate the case that ensnared Joko Tjandra.

In addition, these files and documents are needed to be able to ensnare other parties who have not been touched by the Police and the Attorney General's Office.

"It can be considered the possibility of the KPK conducting new investigations into untouched clusters," said Nawawi some time ago.
