JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said there was a shortage of up to hundreds of employees. This amount is based on the 2020 Workload Analysis (ABK).

"If you refer to the 2020 Workload Analysis (ABK) there is still a shortage of 351 employees," said KPK Secretary General Cahya H. Harefa at a press conference at the KPK Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Friday, 19 August.

Meanwhile, for this year, the KPK does not yet know the number of staff shortages needed. Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Nurul Ghufron, said that the workload analysis was still being carried out.

However, he said the shortage of manpower had not been solved until now. The reason is that there have been no additional workers so far.

"Until 2022 there has been no recruitment, there has been no addition, of course there will be less," said Ghufron.

Ghufron said the KPK also plans to review and revise their structure. The goal is to optimize their performance.

"Whether it's lacking or not, we'll report it after the structure we've just set up and is in the process of compiling," he said.

"KPK has the task of carrying out prevention to execution, its territory is throughout Indonesia from Papua to Aceh from Miangas Island to Rote Island. Of course then a more optimal structure is needed to cover it all," he concluded.
