Komnas Perempuan: Putri Candrawati's Trauma Is Not Made Up, The Treatment Must Be Comprehensive

JAKARTA - The wife of the former Head of the Propam Police Division Inspector General Ferdy Sambo, Putri Candrawathi, is said to have suffered from mental health problems. The news is a finding from the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK).

In response to this, Komnas Perempuan stated that the trauma experienced by Putri Candrawati was not made up. This was seen based on the results of a medical examination conducted by LPSK.

"From the LPSK statement, it has been confirmed that Ibu Putri does have depression and PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder). So the trauma she experienced was not made up," Komnas Perempuan Commissioner Siti Aminah told reporters, Thursday, August 18.

According to him, the examination of Putri should not worsen what she experienced.

"Therefore, the process and method of requesting information from Mrs. Daughter must not exacerbate the impact she experienced," he continued.

Siti said Komnas Perempuan had recommended Putri to get treatment from a comprehensive team.

According to Siti, proper handling can help Putri to recover. So that he can immediately testify regarding the shooting case of Brigadier Nopryansah Yosua Hutabarat or Brigadier J at his shelter.

"From the start, we recommended that Ibu Putri be handled by a comprehensive team consisting of psychiatrists, clinical psychologists and health workers to help her recover and be able to give her testimony," he said.
