JAKARTA - The sadistic robbery targeted visitors at a coffee shop on Jalan Penganten Ali, Ciracas, East Jakarta, Monday, August 15, yesterday. A robber armed with a sharp knife was seen swinging a sharp weapon while snatching the victim's cellphone. At the time of the incident, the victim was sitting, suddenly approached by the perpetrator.

The incident was caught on CCTV camera. During the robbery, the victim managed to keep his cellphone. The victim also received gunshot wounds.

Warkop owner Suryoko said the incident occurred while the victim was playing a game on his cellphone.

"Two people were robbed of riding a motorbike, the one who came down immediately took the cellphone. But the cellphone was still held. It was tugging." said Suryoko at the location, Tuesday, August 16.

Suryoko said the perpetrator was carrying a sickle. The victim was stabbed but the wound was not too serious.

"The perpetrator came, immediately took the victim's cellphone. It was a very new incident," he said.

As a result of the incident, the victim suffered injuries to his left arm due to a sharp weapon. Even so, the perpetrators did not succeed in snatching the victim's cellphone, both of them fled using a motorbike.

Residents claimed to be restless and worried about the increasingly reckless robbery incident. Residents asked the police to increase routine patrols during crime-prone hours.
