JAKARTA - Member of the House of Representatives Commission III Didik Mukriyanto assesses the move by the National Police Chief Listyo Sigit Prabowo to transfer and examine 25 Polri personnel related to the murder case of Brigadier Nopryansah Yosua Hutabarat or Brigadier J as the right step.

In addition to facilitating the disclosure of the case, according to Didik, it also ensures that there is no potential for unprofessional actions that could hinder and hinder the investigation.

"It is absolute for the Police to ensure that there is no obstruction of justice in the disclosure of this case," said Didik at the parliament complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, August 16.

Therefore, continued Didik, examination of members who are suspected of being unprofessional must also be carried out, including violations of the code of ethics. If a criminal process is found, he said, the National Police Chief should not hesitate to immediately process the crime.

"If you look at the duties and responsibilities of the National Police, especially those related to law enforcement, this case can be a gamble for the Police related to public trust," said Didik.

The DPR member from the Democratic Faction emphasized that ideally there should be no tolerance in the name and interest of any kind if any ethical violations are found, let alone violations of the law.

"Enforce the rules and the law as much as possible. The police as law enforcers must be upright to enforce the rules, enforce the law, not guard practical and pragmatic interests," said Didik.

According to Didik, this case will be part of an important legacy for the Police in building integrity, credibility and public trust.

If there is an impression and even selective selective, unprofessional and non-transparent disclosures, especially against members of the National Police who are suspected of being part of a criminal act, it will potentially decrease the image and trust of the Police in the public eye.
