Oon Bribery Former Yogyakarta Mayor Haryadi Suyuti Tried Next Week

YOGYAKARTA - The Yogyakarta District Court will immediately try the alleged briber Haryadi Suyuti (HS) in the alleged bribery case for licensing the construction of an apartment, Oon Nusihono (ON) on August 22.

"The trial will be on this 22 (August)," said Public Relations of the Yogyakarta District Court (PN) Heri Kurniawan as reported by ANTARA, Monday, August 15.

The case file for Oon, said Heri, has been handed over to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to the Yogyakarta District Court on August 11, 2022.

The Yogyakarta District Court, he said, had also appointed and determined a team of judges on corruption crimes who would handle the case.

Next week, according to him, the Vice President of Real Estate PT Summarecon Agung (SA) Tbk will undergo an inaugural trial with the agenda of reading the indictment.

In addition to Oon, the KPK has named three other suspects as recipients of bribes, namely former Yogyakarta Mayor Haryadi Suyuti, Head of the Yogyakarta City Investment and One Stop Integrated Services Agency (DPMPTSP), Nurwidhihartana, and Triyanto Budi Yuwono, personal secretary and aide to Haryadi.

All three are currently still in the process of being investigated by the KPK.

"This is the first (file), the others have not. If you look at this one unit and the locus is also possible that all (case files) are abundant here," said Heri Kurniawan.

Previously, in the construction of the case, the KPK explained that in 2019 suspect Oon, through Dandan Jaya Kartika as President Director of PT Java Orient Property (JOP), a subsidiary of PT SA, applied for a building permit (IMB) on behalf of PT JOP for the construction of the Royal apartment. Kedhaton in the Malioboro area. The apartment development is included in the cultural heritage area of the Yogyakarta City Government.

The permit application continued in 2021, Oon and Dandan Jaya allegedly approached and communicated intensely and made an agreement with Haryadi, who at that time served as Mayor of Yogyakarta for the 2017-2022 period.

The KPK suspects that there was an agreement between Oon and Haryadi, among which Haryadi is committed to always guarding the IMB application by ordering the Head of PUPR to immediately issue an IMB which is accompanied by the provision of a sum of money during the permit process.

During the issuance of the IMB, the KPK suspected that there was a gradual handover of money with a minimum value of around Rp. 50 million from Oon to Haryadi through suspect Triyanto and to suspect Nurwidhihartana. In 2022, the IMB for the construction of the Royal Kedhaton apartment proposed by PT JOP was finally issued.

Next, Oon came to Yogyakarta to meet Haryadi at the official house of the mayor's office and handed over about US$27,258 packaged in a goodie bag through Triyanto as Haryadi's confidant. Some of the money was also given to Nurwidhihartana.

In developing the case, the KPK has also named Dandan Jaya Kartika as a suspect.
