JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) confirmed the complete formation of the Heritage Flag-raising Troops (Paskibraka) at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, on Monday 15 August afternoon.
The Paskibra, totaling 68 members, will be on duty at the Commemoration Ceremony of the Seconds of the Proclamation and the Lowering of the Flag Ceremony on Wednesday, August 17, 2022.
"By asking the pleasure of Allah Almighty, today I inaugurate you as the Heritage Flag-raising Troops that will serve at the Merdeka Palace on August 17, 2022. May God Almighty give you grace and ease in your duties," President Jokowi said in a statement. The inauguration of Paskibraka members which was witnessed virtually through the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube account, Monday 15 August.

The head of the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP) Yudian Wahyudi was present and acted as the leader for reading the Paskibraka pledge which was attended by all Paskibraka members.

Unlike the last two years, Paskibraka members will be deployed in full according to the 17-8-45 formation in the 77th RI Anniversary Ceremony.
