TANGERANG - Police have named 5 suspects from 73 students who were arrested in connection with a brawl that ended in a stabbing in the jurisdiction of the Tangerang Metro Police. The decision was made after the police conducted an investigation.

South Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Pol Zain Dwi Nugroho said the 5 people had the initials RS, TM, AM, FF and AR.

"Those who slashed Article 351 of the Criminal Code and Article 2 of Law Drt 12 of 1951. (TM, AM, FF and AR) Article 2 of Law No. 12 of 1951 carries a maximum threat of 10 years in prison," said Zain in a short message, Sunday, August 14.

It is known that the brawl occurred on Jalan Husein Sastra Negara, Driver, Benda, Tangerang City, Thursday, August 11, at 11.00 WIB. The battery of the brawl caused a student with the initials MAM (16) to become the victim of a stabbing.

"We have secured 73 students from 6 schools, namely SMKN 53 West Jakarta, SMKN 1 West Jakarta, SMKN 2 Tangerang, SMKN 4 Tangerang, SMKN Yuppentek Tangerang and SMAN BDN Jelambar West Jakarta," Zain said when confirmed, Friday, August 12. .

The incident began when the perpetrator of the stabbing with the initials RS (19), students of SMKN 53 West Jakarta, along with 10 other fellow students were walking on motorbikes and met eight students of SMK PGRI 24, numbered eight.

"One of the students made fun of SMKN 53 students, 'KAMPUT ni KAMPUT ni', then chased by SMKN 53 students to Rawa Bamban," he said.

However, at the crime scene (TKP), instead of dealing with the student they were looking for, they met a victim from SMK Excelent Batuceper Tangerang City who was riding a motorbike with his student friends. A moment later the victim was chased by the perpetrators.

"The perpetrator slashed the victim once to the right side of the back using a Madura sickle so that the victim was injured," he said.

The police were aware of the incident, immediately went to the scene. As a result, dozens of students were arrested.

Not only that, officers also took action against 31 units of motorized vehicles used by these students. One student with the initials RS was designated as the perpetrator of the stabbing, while 4 other students carried sharp weapons.

"We did coaching for 68 other students by calling the school and parents," he concluded.
