JAKARTA - Chairman of the Scout Movement Kwarnas Budi Waseso said as many as 11 thousand Raising Scouts from all regions in Indonesia participated in the National Jamboree which was held at Campground and Scout Tourism Graha (Buperta) Cibubur, East Jakarta.
"The purpose of this National Jamboree is to shape attitudes and behavior, increase independence, skills, unity and integrity of the Penggalang Scouts and commitment to the appreciation and practice of the Scout Honorary Code, namely Satya and Darma Scouts," Budi said in a written statement quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, August 13.

The number of Raising Scouts who will attend the preparation of the National Jamboree is 11,506 people who are representatives of branch quarters in districts/cities, Gudep based at the Indonesian Embassy and envoys of Scout organizations in the Asia Pacific region.
The purpose of the event is to achieve the Scout target, namely spiritual, emotional, social, intellectual and physical (sesosive) development in order to form human beings with character, noble character and independence by engaging in activities in the camp.
