Inspector General Ferdy Sambo's Open Letter: Apologizes For Spreading Hoaxes That Trigger Polemics In The Duren Tiga Case

JAKARTA - Former Head of the National Police's Propam Division, Inspector General Ferdy Sambo, wrote an open letter addressed to the public and parties involved in the series of murder cases of Brigadier Yosua Hutabarat or Brigadier J. The letter contained an apology for conveying false information.

The open letter was delivered by Sambo through his attorney, Arman Hanis, at his private house which is located on Jalan Saguling III, South Jakarta.

"Allow me as a human being who cannot be separated from mistakes, sincerely apologize and apologize profusely, especially to my colleagues from the National Police and their families and the wider community who were affected by my actions that provided incorrect information, and sparked a polemic in the Duren Tiga case. that happened to me and my family," said Arman reading Inspector General Ferdy Sambo's message, Thursday, August 11.

In addition, the two-star general stated that he would comply and the legal process was already underway.

Inspector General Ferdy Sambo will be held accountable for all his actions in accordance with applicable law in Indonesia.

"I will comply with every legal process that is currently underway and later in court I will be held accountable," he added.

Inspector General Ferdy Sambo has been named a suspect in the alleged premeditated murder case of Brigadier Nopriansyah Yosua Hutabarat alias Brigadier J.

Based on the results of the investigation by the National Police team, Inspector General Sambo was desperate to kill Brigadier J because of emotion. The trigger was Brigadier J's actions which were considered to have injured the dignity of his family. The location is called in Magelang, Central Java.

Apart from Sambo, there are three other people who are also suspects. They are Bharada Richard Eliezer, Bripka Ricky Rizal, and Strong Ma'ruf.

In this case, the suspects are suspected of Article 340 of the Criminal Code regarding premeditated murder, subsidiary to Article 338 in conjunction with Articles 55 and 56 of the Criminal Code.
