Lawyers 'Challenge' The Surabaya Prosecutor's Office To Examine Assistant Eri Cahyadi And Kasatpol PP So That The Case Of Selling Confiscated Items Of Rp. 500 Million Is Bright

SURABAYA - Two of the nine names reported to the Surabaya District Attorney (Kejari) related to the case of selling confiscated items from the Satpol PP were senior officials from the Surabaya City Government.

The two are Assistant Mayor of Surabaya who is also former Head of Surabaya Satpol PP Irvan Widyanto, and Head of Surabaya Satpol PP Eddy Christijanto.

"We reported nine names, and two of them were Eddy and Irvan. So, the names must be examined because there are indications that they were involved, and Pak Ferry (FE) has conveyed it in full to the Prosecutor's Office," said the attorney for a former Satpol PP official. Surabaya with the initials FE, Abdurrahman Saleh, confirmed, Thursday, 11 August.

The nine people who have been reported are Eddy Christijanto (Kasatpol PP Surabaya), Sunadi, Suyatno, Yayak, Slamet, and Irvan Widyanto (Assistant to the Mayor of Surabaya who is also a former Head of Satpol PP Surabaya). Then Abdul Muin, and Prasetyo, both of whom are Satpol PP Tanjungsari Surabaya officers, as well as the buyer of the confiscated goods.

In the report, continued Saleh, Eddy Christijanto as the Head of the Surabaya Satpol PP was suspected of knowing and letting the confiscated items worth Rp500 million. Eddy is also suspected of knowing and receiving Rp300 in cash.

"The money was the proceeds from the sale of confiscated goods. This report is a legal event and a legal fact," he said.

Meanwhile, Irvan's role is to assist in the sale of confiscated items from the Satpol PP. Irvan is also said to have helped facilitate the meeting, found out, and allowed transactions for the items confiscated by the Surabaya Satpol PP.

"To develop the investigation of the case, the Prosecutor's Office must examine them and related parties who are indicated to be involved in the corruption case," he said.
