JAKARTA - Deputy General Chairperson (Waketum) of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) Anwar Abbas appreciates the National Police Chief and all parties in the police who have been able to uncover the case of Brigadier J's murder to its roots.

"As people who love truth and justice, we certainly should give our appreciation to the National Police Chief General Pol. According to him, although at first the community was pessimistic and predicted that the settlement of this case would only touch the branches, through a firm and professional attitude Listyo Sigit and his entire staff were able to uncover the case of Brigadier J's murder and assign the status of a suspect to the former Head of the Prompam Polri, Inspector General Pol. Freddy Sambo.

"Thank God, thanks to the firm attitude and professionalism of the National Police Chief and the police, this case can be uncovered to its roots by arresting and suspecting who has been the main actor, or intellectual brain in the case of the murder of Brigadier J," said Anwar.

The chairman of the Muhammadiyah Central Executive (PP) hopes that the case of Brigadier J can be used by the National Police as a momentum to improve or improve themselves so that public confidence in one of the law enforcement agencies in the country will increase.

Thus, Anwar continued, the National Police is also expected to be one of the agents of change in the nation and state so that Indonesia is able to become an advanced, moral and just country.

So far, the National Police have named four suspects in the case of Brigadier J's murder, namely Bharada E, Bripka RR, KM, and the former Head of the National Police Propam Division, Inspector General Pol. Freddy Sambo.

The four were charged with Article 340 of the Criminal Code, subsidiary to Article 338 in conjunction with Article 55 and Article 56 of the Criminal Code, with the threat of death or life imprisonment.
