JAMBI - The Jambi Regional Police (Polda) conducted an examination of 22 senior non-commissioned officers from the Muara Bungo Police who were suspected of committing acts of violence against 20 teenage non-commissioned officers.

The Head of Public Relations of the Jambi Police, Kombes Pol. Mulia Prianto, said that currently the 22 personnel suspected of committing the violence were being investigated by a joint team from the Propam Division of the Jambi Police and the Propam Section of the Bungo Police.

"Yes, it is true that there was an incident, currently an investigation and examination of the senior non-commissioned officers is being carried out," Mulia said in Jambi, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, August 9.

Mulia explained that his party regretted that in the coaching process there were several senior non-commissioned officers who were suspected of using violence, but not as brutal as they were published in the media until they were battered.

"However, this action is not justified, for sure the senior non-commissioned officers will be subject to sanctions," said Mulia.

Mulia said the Jambi Police Chief regretted the incident and ordered the Jambi Police HR Karo and Jambi Police Propam Head to investigate the incident directly to the Bungo Police Station so that it would not happen again in the future.

"If anyone is proven, they will be subject to disciplinary and ethical sanctions against the perpetrators of this action, be it Disrespectful Dismissal (PTDH), demotion or postponement of rank," said Mulia.

Bungo Police Chief AKBP Wahyu Bram Widarso said his party took a firm stance against several Bungo Police NCO personnel who took excessive action against the Bungo Police youth non-commissioned officers.

The actions taken by 22 senior non-commissioned officers were carried out in order to provide discipline and environmental introduction to 20 youth non-commissioned officers.
