JAKARTA - The National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, has appointed Inspector General Syahar Diantono as the Head of the Propam Police Division. This inauguration follows Inspector General Ferdy Sambo who was removed and transferred to Headquarters Servant (Yanma).

"I have just been inaugurated (Inspector General Syahar Diantono as Head of the Propam Division, ed)," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo to reporters, Monday, August 8.

Inspector General Ferdy Sambo was originally officially removed from office on Thursday, August 4. The dismissal was the result of the unprofessional handling of the murder case of Brigadier J.

In addition, there are several names of members of the National Police who were removed from their positions for similar reasons.

However, the successors have not yet been appointed. The reason is that the position of the Head of the Propam Division should take precedence.

"Only one (who was inaugurated, ed) is the Head of the Propam Division because the main police officer is the Police," said Dedi.

Inspector General Ferdy Sambo is currently being detained at the Mobile Brigade Headquarters, Kelapa Dua, Depok. He was indicated to be involved in a series of cases involving the murder of Brigadier J.

His involvement was because there was an attempt to eliminate or destroy evidence in the investigation process. One of the pieces of evidence is the CCTV camera which is the 'key witness'.
