BANYUMAS - The Banyumas City Police Criminal Investigation Unit arrested a man with the initials TT (51), a resident of Banyumas Regency, Central Java, for selling his wife to serve the lusts of a number of men.

"This case was revealed after the perpetrator's wife, I (35) reported her husband's actions to us in May 2022," said Head of the Banyumas Satreskrim Police Commissioner Agus Supriadi Siswanto at the Satreskrim Office, Banyumas, Antara, Monday, August 8.

After receiving the report, he said, his party conducted an investigation and looked for the whereabouts of the perpetrator who fled after knowing his wife reported his actions to the police.

According to him, the perpetrators were finally arrested by the Satreskrim Polresta Banyumas officers in Yogyakarta on August 1, 2022.

"The perpetrator from January to December 2022 had committed acts of sexual violence in the form of ordering his wife to have sex with another man that the perpetrator was looking for," he said.

He said so far there were three men served by the victim on orders and threats from the perpetrator. The three men are close people or associates of the victim's husband.

When his wife had sex with another man in her room, the perpetrator hid behind the door or above the ceiling while watching the act because he was known to have experienced sexual deviance in the past year.

The victim was also hospitalized for three days due to violence from her husband.

"The victim doesn't even know how much her husband sold her, but every time she finished serving another man, she was given Rp100 thousand by the perpetrator. We are still investigating because the perpetrator's information is still changing," said Kasatreskrim.

In addition, he said, the perpetrators were also known to recruit four young women who were promised to be employed as sales promotion girls (SPG) for a cosmetics company.

However, the four women who will be employed as SPGs were actually sexually assaulted by the perpetrators.

"The perpetrator pretended to be a father figure and called his victims (women who were recruited) and then told them to have sex with TT to get rid of bad luck," said Head of the Women and Children Service Unit (PPA) of the Banyumas Police Satreskrim, Superintendent of Police Dua Metri Zul Utami explained.

In connection with this case, the perpetrator will be charged with Article 44 Paragraph 2 and Article 47 of Law Number 23 Year 2004 concerning the Elimination of Domestic Violence with a minimum penalty of 4 years in prison and a maximum of 15 years in prison.
