Sani, 31, a Bedouin victim who was bitten by a venomous snake, admitted that he felt relieved and happy to be rushed to the Banten Hospital by a volunteer friend of Indonesia, Muhammad Arif, so that medical personnel could treat him. "Meanwhile, the Head of the Prevention of Infectious Diseases and Environmental Health of the Lebak Regency Health Office, Dr. Firman Rahmatullah, said that currently the deadly venomous snake is a type of ground snake, so if it is bitten it will be treated quickly by medical personnel.

The population of this deadly ground snake has its habitat in cold temperatures and lots of bamboo or shrubs. The people of Lebak Regency, including the Bedouin, often become victims of venomous snake bites when they open their fields.

"We ask residents to wear boots to the fields and if they are bitten by a venomous snake, they are immediately rushed to the puskesmas or hospital to save lives," he said.
