PKB Politician: Rizieq Shihab Is Not Fully A Scholar, But Also A Politician

JAKARTA - Politician of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Abdul Kadir Karding considers that the leader of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) Muhammad Rizieq Shihab is not entirely a cleric, but also a politician.

"So, my point of view is not entirely Habib Rizieq Shihab as a scholar, but as a politician who can move on any issue, in any sector," Karding said in a webinar organized by the Political Journalist Forum (FJP), Sunday, November 15.

The assumption that Rizieq has a political attitude, according to Karding, can be seen from mass movements playing political issues, such as about elections and criticism of the government.

"We will see when he was in Saudi Arabia. In a position of urgency, he was still able to build a discourse that was quite dominant in the country and was able to be managed in such a way through social media so that it became a force to be reckoned with. This means that Rizieq as a politics cannot be taken lightly. "explained Karding.

As is known, Rizieq Shihab said that he would carry out a consolidation of the moral revolution through tabligh akbar activities in various provinces.

This will be done by him and other FPI officials, after he rested for several days due to his deteriorating health condition after arriving in Indonesia from Saudi Arabia.

"After I rest for a few days so that conditions are really fit, I with the FPI DPP management will tour Indonesia. We will visit each province, we invite all the people and we will coordinate and consolidate for the moral revolution," said Rizieq at the Prophet's birthday. .

Rizieq said that when he toured Indonesia, he would meet habib, ulama, and Islamic leaders in various regions to carry out a moral revolution. This is because this revolution can only happen if it gets support from various parties, including Muslims in various regions.

He gave an ultimatum to all parties, so as not to try to obstruct the tablig akbar in the context of consolidating this moral revolution. He will not tolerate anyone who gets in the way of this activity.

"We will not tolerate anyone who tries to obstruct the tabligh and recitation of the people," he said.
