The Owner Of A Stupid Investment Under The Guise Of A Qurbani Package In Cianjur Was Arrested By The Police

JAKARTA - The Cianjur Police, West Java, arrested HA, the owner of an invalid investment under the guise of a qurbani package after four months of disappearing and living around Cianjur, Bogor, Sukabumi and West Bandung.

"Members who had time to track down the suspect's whereabouts finally managed to arrest him in the Lembang-West Bandung area. Previously, the suspect had to move around and claimed he was being treated in a hospital in Bandung," said Cianjur Police Chief AKBP Mochamad Rifai, in Cianjur, Saturday, November 14th.

He revealed that the suspect was absent several times from the Cianjur Police summons, on the pretext of being treated for illness. After this summons, the suspect fled.

Officers who continued to monitor his whereabouts, managed to find the suspect's hiding location and were immediately taken to the Cianjur Police Headquarters.

"The member who found the suspect's whereabouts, immediately made the arrest and at this time, the suspect has been secured at the Cianjur Police Headquarters, to account for his actions against more than 1,000 investment victims from the Cianjur, Bogor, Sukabumi and West Bandung areas," he said.

Previously, HA, the owner of a fake investment, a resident of Limbangansari Village, Cianjur Subdistrict, was named a suspect, after the Cianjur Police Headquarters, obtained strong evidence related to fraudulent investments managed by the suspect and reports of hundreds of group leaders in charge of more than 1,000 members.

The Cianjur Police, had sent two summons to the suspect which were never fulfilled. The suspect even disappeared when the officers found out that he was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Bandung.

The status of the suspect was determined after the report from the head of the group was received and evidence related to fake investment was confiscated by officers from the suspect's luxury home in Limbangsari Village, Cianjur. The suspect argued that he would disburse all the packages which were followed by the thousands of participants, but so far his promise has not been proven.
