JAKARTA - The Gambir Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit arrested one sadistic thug with the initials A (21). When in action, the perpetrator and five of his friends were equipped with sharp weapons of the type of ax. Police officers said the suspects were a group of teenagers who used to hang out in the Duri Pulo area, Gambir.

Suspect A was arrested by members of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Gambir Metro Police in a rented house that was used as a headquarters on Jalan Kampung Duri Barat, Gambir District, Central Jakarta.

After arresting A, the police again arrested another perpetrator with the initials M. However, because M was also involved in a robbery in the Cengkareng area, M was also arrested by the Cengkareng Police.

"So we arrested one suspect with the initials A. Suspect A is a resident of Duri Dalam, West Jakarta. He has dropped out of school. Suspect A has also been arrested for possession of sharp weapons during a brawl," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Gambir Metro Police, Commissioner Andika Aris Prasetya to VOI, Tuesday, August 2, evening.

In addition to arresting the initial suspects A and M, the Gambir Metro Police are also still pursuing 4 other suspects who are still at large.

"There are 4 people who are still on the DPO, their initials I, K, K and S. They are still being chased. The suspect's initials I (DPO) played a role in holding an ax during the incident," he said.

Andika also said that suspect A took the victim's motorbike. From the suspect's arrest, the police secured evidence in the form of a 3-meter-long wooden block that the suspect used to block the victim's motorbike.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Department explained that the incident took place on Jalan Subur, Duri Pulo Village, Gambir District, Central Jakarta.

Initially, suspect A and his friends planned the theft. In their actions, the suspects are classified as sadistic. They did not hesitate to slash the victim with an ax he was carrying.

Then, continued Andika, the perpetrator with the initials I then placed a 3 meter long wooden beam across the middle of Jalan Subur, Duri Pulo.

When the victim, GR and his girlfriend, CM, crossed Jalan Subur, suddenly the Vario B 3529 UPL motorbike driven by GR stopped because it was blocked by a wooden block.

Suspect I (DPO) suddenly slashed the victim's head with the ax he was carrying. Luckily, the victim was wearing a helmet at that time.

However, after the victim of GE fell, the other perpetrators also beat the victim with a short beam. Meanwhile, suspect S only observed the surrounding area.

Andika continued, after the victim fell, the perpetrator's initial A immediately took the victim's motorbike and ran away. The perpetrators took the motorbike to the Indramayu area, West Java.

"The motorbike was sold for 2.5 million and the proceeds were divided equally by the perpetrators. Suspect A got Rp. 300 thousand," he said.

As a result of his actions, the suspect was charged with Article 365 of the Criminal Code. Currently, the police are still developing the burglary case in order to arrest other networks.
