Kapenrem 163 / Wira Satya Major Arm Ida Bagus Putu Diana Sukertia, said that the civilian with the initials NI was arrested on Wednesday, November 11 in Banjar Merta, South Denpasar, Bali.

"It is true that a civilian has been secured by TNI AD officers from Ksatrian Praja Raksaka Kepaon, Denpom IX / 3 Denpasar and the Military Intelligence Team 163 / Wira Satya where the civilian claims to be a TNI AD officer with the rank of captain," said Kapenrem, Friday, 13 November.

According to Major Ida Bagus, the perpetrator deceived two women with the initials J and their son An. In September, the NI perpetrator came to a grilled fish shop and met the shop owner with the initials J. J, who has a daughter who is a student.

"Because she began to feel close to Mrs. J's family, then NI borrowed Rp. 1,500,000 in October 2020 with the guarantee of a laptop," he said.

In the same month NI returned to the shop and claimed to be a member of the Indonesian Army who was a captain. This time, NI borrowed Rp8.5 million on the pretext of bailing out its members who served.

"Seeing that his son's relationship with NI is getting closer, then J plans to meet the person concerned to determine whether NI is really a member of the Army or not," said Ida Bagus.

On 11 November, J's mother and her son An came to the Kepaon Prajaraksaka Piket to check the truth of NI who claimed to be a member of the Army with the rank of Captain.

Then received the Supervisory Officer for Satri Praja Raksaka Kepaon Captain Hadi Siswanto, who at that time served as Chivalry Picket.

"After receiving the report from Mrs. J, then the Piket officer contacted Serka Kadir, the member of the Military Intelligence Team 163 / Wira Satya and Letda CPM Reno Denpom IX / 3 Denpasar to coordinate about the truth of the member who served at Intel with the initials NI," he continued.

The team then arrested the NI perpetrators and immediately brought them to the Prajaraksaka Kepaon Unit for questioning. The perpetrator confessed his actions.

"The person concerned has been secured, information has been taken at Denpom IX / 3 Denpasar and because the perpetrator is a civilian, we will hand it over to the police, namely the South Denpasar Police for further processing and accountability for his actions," said Mayor Bagus.
