PKS President Reveals The Meaning Of Using Doorstops And Salawat When Registering Election Contestants To The KPU

JAKARTA - The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) has registered as participants in the 2024 General Election to the KPU on the first day of registration opening. PKS arrived at the KPU, accompanied by salawat and doorstop action. PKS President Ahmad Syaikhu said this registration confirms that PKS is ready to take part in the 2024 General Election.

"We have entered the data into Sipol and Alhamdullilah, it complies with the mandate of the laws and regulations. Of course, registering on the first day is so that we show that PKS is ready to take part in the upcoming 2024 General Election," said Syaikhu at the KPU Office, Central Jakarta, Monday, August 1st.

Syaikhu also appreciated the ranks of the DPP to the DPW/DPD in preparing the verification of political parties in a very short time. "DPP also appreciates the Indonesian KPU which has received us with great warmth, friendship and hopefully this will be the starting point for holding the 2024 General Elections to run professionally, honestly, fairly and improve Indonesian democracy," said Syaikhu.

Regarding the doorstop that was brought to the KPU, Syaikhu revealed that its meaning was to respect Indonesian culture. "Palang Pintu means that we really respect the culture in Indonesia. Since we are in Betawi, of course our custom is to cross the door. So, God willing, the nation that respects good customs will become one who will be able to maintain the noble values of the nation," said the Shaykh.

While praying, Syaikhu said, it is hope that Indonesia will be more peaceful and peaceful in the future.
