Investigate Fake Police In Cideng, Polda Metro Jaya Will Involve Propam

JAKARTA - Police are still investigating the uniformed man who is suspected to be a fake police officer. It is known that the man acted by checking vehicle documents in the Cideng area, Central Jakarta.

Dirlantas Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Latif said that he would involve Propam and Reskrim in investigating the man in uniform who was suspected to be a fake police officer.

"We are looking into it, we will report it to the Criminal Investigation Unit and Propam to be investigated," said Latif when confirmed, Sunday, July 31.

Meanwhile, contacted separately, the Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Pol Komarudin said his party had conducted an investigation at the location.

Furthermore, he explained that based on information from residents around the location, the fake police had stopped several motorists in the Cideng area, Central Jakarta.

"From the information, the people there did not know and did not know. (However) they have seen a driver who was stopped by the officers, but it has been a long time since yesterday they did not know," he concluded.

A viral video on social media shows an allegedly fake policeman stopping a silver car to question papers in the Cideng area, Central Jakarta.

Not long after, another driver came shouting at the silver car owner to be careful.

"Guys, he's not a real cop, be careful he's not a real cop, don't want to," shouted the recorder at the silver car driver. Everyone, be careful, I was stopped by this person at Roxy in the Cideng area and claimed to be a police officer even though he wasn't," text in the video.

"At that time I didn't have time to record the incident because I was still in shock, what was wrong with me being stopped for the reason that I wanted to check my letter. And because I told the police family he was scared and left immediately," he continued

Contacted separately, the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Endra Zulpan said that his party would investigate the case.

"Yes (investigated-ed)," said Zulpan in a short message, Sunday.
