Brigadier J's Case Withdrawn By Bareskrim But Polda Metro Jaya Investigators Are Still Involved

JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police is now handling the case of alleged molestation and threatening Nofryansah Yosua Hutabarat or Brigadier J to the wife of Inspector General of Police Ferdy Sambo with the initials P.

However, during the investigation, the case still involves investigators from the Polda Metro Jaya (PMJ) and Polres Jakarta Selatan (Jaksel). Because, they are also members of the special team (timsus) formed by the National Police Chief Gen. Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

"However, PMJ investigators from South Jakarta are still included in the team for the investigation of the Timsus," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo to VOI, Sunday, July 31.

Previously, it was reported that there were three police reports related to Brigadier J which was handled by the National Police.

Meanwhile, two reports related to the alleged harassment and pointing of weapons against P have been withdrawn from the South Jakarta Police to the Metro Jaya Police, which were submitted on Tuesday 19 July.

Furthermore, Brigadier J's family report through his attorney regarding the alleged premeditated murder on Monday, July 18.

Recently, the two reports from the Polda Metro Jaya have been withdrawn to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police starting Friday, July 29.

On Tuesday, July 19, Inspector General Dedi explained the reason for the withdrawal because the facilities and infrastructure owned by the Polda Metro Jaya were more complete so that they could quickly investigate this case. Including the difference in handling when in the Criminal Investigation Police.

"Because at Polda Metro Jaya the investigators may be more experienced," said Dedi.

According to Dedi, the investigators from the Polda Metro Jaya and Polres Jaksel are still involved in providing assistance in this case, according to Dedi, because they prioritize scientific crime investigation.

"The Polda Metro Jaya investigation team received assistance from Bareskrim investigators and in the context of scientific evidence, Inafis went down, then the Forensic Laboratory was down, including forensic medicine," said Dedi.
