Viral! Allegedly Fake Police In The Cideng Area Of Central Jakarta Pretended To Check Vehicle Documents, Polda Metro Jaya Intervened

JAKARTA - A viral video on social media shows an allegedly fake policeman stopping a silver car to question papers in the Cideng area, Central Jakarta.

Not long after, another driver came shouting at the silver car owner to be careful.

"Guys, he's not a real cop, be careful he's not a real cop, don't want to," shouted the recorder at the silver car driver. For everyone, be careful, yes, I was stopped by this person at Roxy, Cideng area and claimed to be a policeman even though he wasn't," text in the video.

"At that time I didn't have time to record the incident because I was still in shock, what was wrong with me being stopped for the reason that I wanted to check my letter. And because I told the police family he was scared and left immediately," he continued

Contacted separately, the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Endra Zulpan said that his party would investigate the case.

"Yes (investigated-ed)," said Zulpan in a short message, Sunday, July 31.

On this occasion, Zulpan asked the community if they were victims of the fake police to report them immediately.

"If there are people who become victims due to the actions of these fake police, please report them to the police," he concluded
