JAKARTA - The General Election Commission (KPU) has asked political parties to immediately input data into the Political Party Information System or Sipol so as not to exceed the deadline for registering participants in the 2024 General Election.

"Yes, some are still below 50 percent and we confirm that it will be accelerated. So, hopefully the registration process has been completed," said KPU member Yulianto Sudrajat as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, July 28.

Yulianto hopes that the stage of entering data into Sipol can be completed before entering the registration stage. So, at the stage which will be held from 1-14 August 2022, political parties only need to carry out the registration process with complete administration.

"It's just a registration process, complete documents, ok, we'll make a report on the registration," he added.

Regarding there are still political parties that upload Sipol data below 50 percent, this is called a technical problem from the political party.

"It's just a matter of technicality, the internal parties are different. We as organizers, of course, we maximize the principle of serving," he said.

KPU launched Sipol since June 24, 2022. A total of 38 parties at the national level and seven local parties have obtained Sipol access.

The KPU also provides assistance services through the service desk or help desk for political parties who have problems entering data into Sipol. In addition to the service desk, political parties can also communicate with the KPU through the chat group provided.
