COVID-19 Update As Of July 28: 6.353 New Cases From Examination Of 122.229 Specimens

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 122.229 specimens were examined with the results of 6.353 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6.191.664 people and active cases rose by 631 to 46.655 cases," said Ministry of Health data, Thursday, July 28.

Today's recovered cases increased by 5.705 people, bringing the total to 5.988.052 people recovered. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 17 cases and totaled 156.957 people.

The province with the newest cases was DKI Jakarta with 3.157 cases and a total of 1.323.027 cases. Followed by West Java with 1.183 new cases with a total of 1.131.450 cases. Banten with 745 new cases and a total of 309.856 cases. East Java with 389 new cases and a total of 584.345 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 3.100 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an increase of 1.635 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 347 recovered cases, and Banten with an additional 237 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 103.363.087.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week was 5.94 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 7.267 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 202.345.374 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 169.942.479 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 55.294.775 people. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208.265.720 people.
