JAKARTA - A number of members of the DKI Jakarta DPRD who are members of the IKN Special Committee (Pansus) made a working visit to the Capital of the Archipelago (IKN), East Kalimantan.

Currently, they are in Samarinda. This afternoon, the Special Committee for IKN of the DKI Jakarta DPRD will visit the zero point of IKN, Penajam Paser Utara.

A member of the Special Committee for IKN of the DKI DPRD from the PKS faction, Abdul Aziz, said that his party wanted to find out more about the process of moving the capital city from Jakarta to the archipelago by observing the conditions firsthand.

After knowing the progress of the plan to move the capital city, Aziz said that his party could better understand the concept of Jakarta's development after leaving the status of the capital city of Indonesia.

"Actually, we want to convince ourselves that this IKN is being processed or processed quickly. Because the faster it is processed, after all, DKI must also prepare things faster after the IKN," said Aziz when contacted, Thursday, July 28.

The next step, the Special Committee for IKN will invite experts to provide input, before finally issuing a comprehensive recommendation regarding the status of government and future development of Jakarta to the DKI Provincial Government.

"So our visit will not be the first and the last, but will continue while having long discussions with experts who make recommendations to the DKI Provincial Government, especially post-IKN, what special area do you want to be, then to the central government about the readiness of this IKN," he said.

Previously, the DKI Jakarta DPRD formed a Jakarta Special Committee after the transfer of the State Capital (IKN). The formation of this special committee has been approved in a plenary meeting with the appropriate arrangement in Government Regulation Number 12 of 2018 concerning Guidelines for the Preparation of Rules of Procedure for Provincial, Regency and City DPRD.

During its formation, Deputy Chairperson of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Khoirudin, revealed that the IKN special committee would issue recommendations regarding the direction of Jakarta's development after the capital was officially moved to East Kalimantan. , the face of Jakarta after the capital moved to East Kalimantan," said Khoirudin.

The Special Committee is filled by 25 people consisting of two leaders and 23 members.
