Examining 20 Magelang-Jakarta CCTV Videos, Komnas HAM Ensures Brigadier J Is Still Alive When He Arrives At Inspector General Ferdy Sambo's House

JAKARTA - Komnas HAM has examined 20 CCTV footage spread over 27 points of the journey of Brigadier J and his entourage from Magelang, Central Java to Jakarta.

In the CCTV footage, Komnas HAM confirmed that Brigadier J was still alive until the shelter for the Head of the Propam Division was deactivated, Inspector General Ferdy Sambo, in Duren Tiga, South Jakarta.

"From 20 videos from 27 points we saw everything from Magelang to Duren Tiga, including videos to Kramat Jati," said Komnas HAM Commissioner Choirul Anam at a press conference at the Komnas HAM office, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, July 27.

In the video, continued Anam, Brigadier J was seen still alive and still with his entourage and the family of the inactive Head of the Propam Division Inspector General Ferdy Sambo, including Putri Chandrawathi.

"The most important thing about this video is that in the Duren Tiga area, the video shows Inspector General Ferdy Sambo, a group from Magelang. Inspector General Ferdy Sambo entered first, after a while there was a group that had just returned from Magelang. There was Mrs. Putri, the late Brigadier J ," he said.

"When he arrived at Duren Tiga, he was still alive and the rest of the group were all healthy, nothing less than one thing," explained Anam.

Anam added that Komnas HAM would reschedule a follow-up meeting with the Cyber Crime Investigation Team and the National Police Labfor next week.

The second meeting, Anam added, was to find out the cause of the damage to CCTV at the inactive Head of the Propam shelter, Inspector General Ferdy Sambo.

"Next week we will meet again with the Cyber and Labfor team to confirm that, if it is damaged (the CCTV of Ferdy Sambo's house) why for example is it damaged, can it be withdrawn or not, can it record or not and so on, next week that is the part we will explore with Labfor and Cyber," said Anam.
