JAKARTA - The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) has closed an illegal crossing where the odong-odong accident was hit by a train in Serang, Banten.

"We are sorry for the odong-odong accident that was hit by a train in Kragilan, Serang Regency, Banten. We regret the incident that caused the death toll. The team will conduct further investigations with related parties," said Ministry of Transportation Spokesperson Adita Irawati as quoted by ANTARA. , Wednesday, July 27.

Adita added that the Directorate General of Railways had sent a team to the location and closed the illegal and illegal crossings.

As previously reported, the train bound for Lebak-Merak hit an odong-odong car in Silembu Village, Kragilan District, Serang Regency.

The incident began when the train was traveling from Lebak to Merak. Arriving at the crime scene (TKP), two odong-odong vehicles suddenly drove from the direction of Warangkak towards Kragilan until they were finally hit.
