Bima Arya Optimistic That The Library Building Will Be Completed November 2022

BOGOR - Bogor Mayor Bima Arya Sugiarto is optimistic that the final stage of construction, namely the interior of the city library building worth Rp. 10 billion, will be completed according to the target in November 2022.

Bima Arya when reviewing the progress of the construction of the Bogor City Library on Jalan Captain Muslihat, Central Bogor said the project, which is one of the priority programs, is targeted to be completed on time.

From corner to corner, Bima Arya was checked, accompanied by the Head of the Office of Archives and Libraries (Disarpus) for the City of Bogor, Agung Prihanto and the contractors.

Bima Arya sees, so far the progress is going smoothly according to plan. In terms of construction, the library building has been completed and is currently in the interior stage.

"The progress is 28 percent. The deviation is positive 17 percent. So, the work is faster. Most of the work is on furniture or interiors. So far, it's on track," said Bima Arya as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, July 26.

If it continues smoothly, he said, this library can be enjoyed by the public starting November 18, 2022.

The construction of the Bogor City Library as a result of the revitalization of the former local House of Representatives (DPRD) building has received a budget of Rp. 13.6 billion in the first phase and Rp. 10 billion in the second phase.

Bima Arya asked Dikarpus to continue to add to his collection of books to make it more diverse while waiting for the launch.

"I asked the office to increase the stock of books. Currently we have 40 thousand book collections. Until the opening, we will continue to maximize the addition of books from various parties," said Bima.

It is hoped that Bima, this library can be filled with various positive activities for various ages, especially to increase the literacy of young people in the city of Bogor.

"In general, it is good, then how to revive this library with various activities. Here later there will be various kinds of activities. There are children, studies, discussions, book launching, and others," he explained.

In addition to providing reading books, there are various interesting facilities in this library building, ranging from galleries, children's reading rooms, playgrounds, disability-friendly reading rooms, Bogor City history museum, coffeeshops, rooftops, meeting rooms to auditoriums that can be used for screening films, discussions. , book launch or review and so on.

This library will also be equipped with digitalization technology to keep up with the times.
