President Jokowi Scheduled To Meet Xi Jinping In Beijing Tomorrow Afternoon

BEIJING - Indonesian President Joko Widodo is scheduled to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday (26/7) afternoon.

According to information compiled by ANTARA, Xi will meet Xi at the Diaoyutai state guest building in Haidian District on Tuesday at 15:00 local time or 14:00 WIB.

Furthermore, at 20.00 local time (19.00 WIB), President Jokowi departed from Beijing to make a state visit to Japan and South Korea.

Jokowi is the first head of state or head of government Xi has received in Beijing since the Winter Olympics in February 2021.

Jokowi is also the first president to make a state visit to China after several regions in mainland China, especially Beijing, were hit by the latest wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, which was followed by a lockdown for several months.

"Indeed, this is the first high-level visit we have received after the Winter Olympics. I want to say that we have gained valuable experience during the Olympics," said Chinese Foreign Ministry (MFA) spokesman Zhao Lijian in Beijing, Monday, July 25.

While ensuring the security situation for COVID-19, his party will do their best to ensure that the visit of the Indonesian President is correct and smooth.

"I am sure this visit will run smoothly and successfully," said Zhao while asking the media crew to be patient waiting for the results of the Jokowi-Xi meeting.

At the invitation of Xi, Jokowi made a state visit to China on Monday and Tuesday.
