JAKARTA - The lawyer for Brigadier J's family, Kamaruddin Simanjuntak, has denied allegations that he intentionally linked Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok)'s alleged affair with the bloody incident that killed Brigadier J.

Kamaruddin will be policed because he is considered to have offended Ahok by playing up the issue of the former DKI Jakarta Governor's affair.

"No one is talking about infidelity, I just said when the courtship was. When was the courtship, it's a question, if there are questions, what is needed is an answer," Kamaruddin said when he was confirmed, Monday, July 25.

With the reporting plan, Kamaruddin admitted he was confused. Because, according to him, the context of his speech was just a question.

Because of that, Kamaruddin Simanjuntak considered the report did not meet the criminal element if Ahok's side still chose to police it.

"I asked if it was a crime, wasn't it? So if the crime was a mistake, the error contained malicious intent or mens rea," he said.

Kamaruddin questioned Ahok's reason for demanding that he immediately apologize. In fact, he feels that he did nothing wrong

"I asked when the courtship was, but I apologize for asking, I understand what that means," said Kamaruddin.

Previously, lawyer from Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok), Ahmad Ramzy intended to report to Kamaruddin Simanjuntak. The plan was the aftermath of his statement that alluded to Ahok's relationship with his wife, Puput Nastiti Devi.

Moreover, Kamaruddin's statement was considered to have defamed his client.

"That the actions of Kamararuddin Simanjuntak's colleague linking his case with Mr. BTP and Mrs. Puput are very dangerous and defame Mr. BTP," said Ramzy.

Ramzy also stated that he would police Kamaruddin if he did not immediately apologize.

"I am waiting for Kamarudin's colleagues 2 X 24 hours to apologize to Mr. BTP and his family," said Ramzy.
