KPK Calls TV Presenter Brigita Manohara To Witness The Case Of The Central Mamberamo Regent

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has scheduled an examination of television presenter, Brigita Purnawati Manohara. He was questioned as a witness to allegations of bribery and gratification that ensnared the Regent of Central Mamberamo Ricky Ham Pagawak.

"That's right. It is scheduled to summon witnesses on behalf of Brigita P. Manohara, a private employee," said Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement, Ali Fikri in a written statement, Monday, July 25.

Brigita, continued Ali, will be questioned by investigators at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta today, Monday, July 25.

"The information we have obtained will be present to fulfill the summons of the KPK investigators team," he said.

Meanwhile, Brigita said KPK investigators asked him to be present at 10.00 WIB. He admitted that he did not prepare anything special to be conveyed to investigators.

This private television presenter also said that he would not be accompanied by a lawyer.

"I decided I came alone first," said Brigita in a short message.

"I have no business or other relationship with the suspects," he continued.

Brigita was actually summoned by the KPK on Friday, July 15. However, he was absent from the first summons even though the summons had been sent properly.

However, later Brigita said that he no longer lived at the address listed on the summons, namely Surabaya. Thus, he did not know about the summons.

As previously reported, the KPK continues to investigate allegations of bribery and gratification in Central Mamberamo. A number of witnesses have been called and searches have been carried out.

However, in the midst of this investigation, the Regent of Central Mamberamo Ricky Ham Pagawak fled. He fled to Papua New Guinea by way of a rat with the help of his aides.

The anti-corruption commission investigators are still pursuing Ricky. People who know Ricky's whereabouts are asked to provide information.
