Majalengka Health Office: 4 Months No Spike In COVID-19 Cases, No Corona Patients Treated In Hospitals

MAJALENGKA - Secretary of the Majalengka District Health Office, Agus Susanto said, during the last four months there were no prominent cases of COVID-19, even during that period all hospitals did not treat patients exposed to the Corona virus.

"For the past four months, COVID-19 cases in Majalengka have been sloping, there has been no spike at all," Agus said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, July 22.

Agus said, for more than 4 months, COVID-19 cases in Majalengka Regency did not experience a significant spike, in fact they tended to be sloping.

According to him, during that period only one or two people were confirmed positive for COVID-19, with mild symptoms.

After tracing the close contacts, Agus continued, the average result was negative, this indicates that group immunity in Majalengka Regency has been established.

"If there are positive ones, we will definitely track them down, but on average the results are negative," he said.

Agus added, during that time, the bed occupancy rate for COVID-19 patients was also nil, and this lasted for quite a long time.

However, Agus said, people still have to obey health protocols that have been well implemented during the pandemic, such as using masks, washing hands, and others.

"We still emphasize that people must obey the procedures, because the government has not revoked the pandemic status," he said.
