Police Can't Confirm Nikita Mirzani's Detention Status Tonight

SERANG - Serang City Police have yet to arrest the suspect Nikita Mirzani. This is because the person concerned is still under investigation. The Head of Public Relations of the Banten Police, Kombes Pol. Shinto Silitonga, explained that based on the criminal procedure law, determining whether or not to be detained is part of the authority of the investigator.

"According to the Criminal Code, the 24-hour arrest period is still too early if tonight we convey whether or not NM is the suspect," Shinto told reporters at the Serang City Police, Thursday, July 21.

"(Then) it becomes the authority of the investigator to be able to make a detention or not (NM)," he continued.

Nikita Mirzani Pick Up

The Serang City Police forcibly picked up Artist, Nikita Mirzani (NM) while in Senayan, Main Lobby of Senayan City Mall, South Jakarta, Thursday, July 21, at 14.50 WIB.

The pick-up was led directly by Kasatreskrim Polresta Serang City AKP David Adhi Kusuma with 3 female police personnel (Polwan).

Shinto also said that Nikita Mirzani's arrest was due to his uncooperative attitude.

"NM, who tends to be uncooperative during investigations, even though investigators have made several calls for the suspect to cooperate during the investigation process," said Shinto in his statement seen on Thursday, July 21.
