2 Police Organic Firearms Are In The Hands Of KKB Leader Egianus Kogoya

JAYAPURA - Two organic Polri firearms, type AK-101 and firearms type SSG08 (sniper weapons) which were seized after killing Police Brigadier Two Diego Rumaropen, in Napua, Wamena, Jayawijaya Regency, Papua, are in the hands of KKB led by Egianus Kogoya.

"It is true that the two weapons are already in the hands of Egianus Kogoya," said Director of General Crimes at the Papua Police, Kombes Faizal Rahmadani, in Jayapura as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, July 21.

He explained that initially the two firearms were confiscated by killing Rumaropen on June 18 by AB and H. The two perpetrators were members of the Wosa group which was part of the Kogoya group, then Yotam Bugiangge picked them up and handed them over to Kogoya.

"It has been confirmed that the two police firearms are in the hands of Egianus Kogoya because they were also used during a shootout with security forces in Kenyam," he said.

Kombes Faizal said the Kogoya group attacked and killed 10 civilians in Nogoloid, Nduga Regency, Saturday (16/7). All the bodies of the victims have been evacuated to their hometowns for burial, while the injured are being treated at the Timika Hospital.

"Members have also done the crime scene," he said.
