LABUAN BAJO - President Joko Widodo inaugurated the National Tourism Strategic Area (KSPN) Marina Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

"I trust that Labuan Bajo is getting more beautiful, a new face, more beautiful, please pay attention to small matters. First, it is friendly to tourists," Jokowi said when inaugurating the KSPN Marina Labuan Bajo, reported by ANTARA, Thursday, July 21.

After following the changes from year to year, the president saw that Labuan Bajo was getting better and more beautiful.

Therefore, the area must be maintained properly by being friendly to tourists and paying attention to environmental cleanliness.

Jokowi advised the public not to litter. Residents have to do community service every month to maintain the area properly.

"Because we still have work to do, namely to build roads, widen roads, so that the ultimate goal of structuring the entire area is the welfare of the people of NTT, especially West Manggarai, more specifically Labuan Bajo," he said.

With the inauguration of the place, Jokowi invites the public to carry out cultural arts activities and other artistic performances that can attract more tourists to Labuan Bajo.

The President marked the inauguration of the KSPN Marina Labuan Bajo and the Warloka Waste Management System by pressing the siren button and signing the inscription.

During the inauguration, President Jokowi was accompanied by First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo and the Ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet along with invited guests.

On the first day of his working visit to Labuan Bajo, Jokowi inaugurated the Komodo Airport Expansion in the morning and the Rinca Island Area Restructuring in the afternoon.

The presence of President Joko Widodo and First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo at the Marina Labuan Bajo Pier was greeted with applause and cheers from the crowd who had been waiting since the afternoon.

The inauguration ceremony was followed by a regional arts festival filled with regional dances and performances by regional musicians.
