JAKARTA - The suggestion from the Mayor of Depok, Mohammad Idris, that the suburbs of Jakarta be united within the framework of Greater Jakarta is considered reasonable.

"If I were the governor, I was most offended, as if Depok no longer believed in West Java, even though we have been living comfortably, comfortably, peacefully and the attention of the provincial government is also very large," he said.

"There is no expression that Depok wants to join Jakarta, it doesn't exist, we are fatsun of government politics, I as mayor have a father, namely the governor, I can't talk carelessly like that," he continued.

Idris claims that the issue of Greater Jakarta is already in the IKN law. However, he emphasized that he was not proposing Depok to join Greater Jakarta. "If Greater Jakarta is already in the law, I forget the article, there is a clause that says Jakarta is asked to create a post-IKN concept of Jakarta," said Idris.
